Hey!

about

Spanning the course of over 20 years, I've immersed myself in the evolving world of technology, rising to become the Head of UI/UX at the American Chemical Society. This journey was not merely about ascending the corporate ladder; it was a testament to my relentless pursuit of learning and mastering new skills. Starting my own company was the culmination of years of experience and the beginning of a new chapter where I could innovate, create, and lead on my terms.

technical skills

As an adept troubleshooter with a penchant for unconventional approaches, I've diverged from the conventional developer's path to harness my creativity. By exploring a diverse array of techniques and software, I've developed a profound understanding that software is far more than a mere tool; it's a gateway to infinite possibilities. Today, my expertise lies in not just using these technologies but in dissecting them, identifying their core functionalities and potential pitfalls. My knack for critical thinking, coupled with a strong sense of empathy and an inventive mindset, empowers me to craft impactful solutions. Whether it's reviving a faltering website or finding ingenious fixes to complex issues, I thrive on pushing boundaries and delivering creative solutions that stand the test of time.

education

I completed my undergraduate studies at Northwestern University, located in Evanston, IL, where I pursued a major in Communication Studies. Beyond my academic endeavors, I successfully walked onto the soccer team, marking a significant milestone as the first African-American athlete to compete in a Division 1 sport within the Big Ten Conference at Northwestern. This journey not only refined my communication skills but also deepened my understanding and mastery of digital communication. My academic path led me to further expand my skill set through a diverse range of courses and internships, culminating in the acquisition of a graduate certificate in Front-End Web Development from Harvard University. Currently, I am advancing my education and professional expertise by pursuing a Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) in Digital Media also at Harvard University. This progression reflects my ongoing commitment to leveraging digital innovation and enhancing my capabilities in the digital domain.
